Tour West America is proud to provide wheelchair accessibility to our customers. In compliance with State and Federal requirements, Tour West America can, with prior notice, accommodate passengers with disabilities.
“We recognize the need to be able to serve as many people as possible, and hope having this type of equipment will allow those who have not previously been able to travel the opportunity to do so.”
Our fleet includes a lift-equipped coach and equipment that kneels for easier boarding. Our goal is to make your travel on Tour West America pleasant and convenient.
The motorcoach, when used without the motorized lift feature, accommodates 56 passengers. It can carry one or two wheelchairs by eliminating some seats. With one wheelchair passenger the coach has 50 standard seats and with two wheelchair passengers the coach allows standard seating for 44 passengers.
Our drivers and customer service personnel are available to provide assistance with loading and unloading luggage, stowage, and retrieval of mobility devices. These services are provided during meal and rest stops as well as other times as needed. We can help whether you are traveling alone or with a personal care attendant, using various mobility devices, or being accompanied by a service animal.
At any time passengers are welcome to have their mobility devices stowed in the under floor baggage compartments. For motorized chairs and scooters please call ahead so arrangements can be made for our portable ramp. There are no additional costs associated with the use of our lift coach or the ramps.
If your group is interested in our lift equipped motorcoach, give us a call or email us. We’ll be happy to discuss its features with you.
