Swap meet shopping topped off with a serving of pizza!
Depart Yuma in the morning, with a comfort break in Gila Bend.
Destination Mesa Market Place. This is a fun swap meet with 1,600 booths all under one shaded breezeway! There is FREE entertainment all day, tons of variety in food and items, and some of the best bargains in the East Valley. It is one of Mesa’s most popular shopping venues for locals and a ‘must-see’ for out-of-towners! All this, while you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Arizona Desert just beneath the Superstition Mountains. Scooters are available for rental at the swap meet, $8 per hour. Visit Space A-67.
Late afternoon, travel to Organ Stop Pizza Parlor for dinner. This is one of the most fun and unique establishments in Arizona. In an almost magical manner, the organ player makes the mighty Wurlitzer come alive! Part military band, part symphony orchestra, and part theatrical sound effects, this 5,500 pipe organ is the largest Wurlitzer in the world. Please note that the restaurant only accepts checks and cash, no credit cards.
