Live Tapings at Sony Studios, Culver City California

Don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to see your favorite TV shows and stars in person.

Day 1 – Depart Yuma in the early morning for the trip to California. Following comfort/refreshment stops along the way, we arrive for lunch at The Original LA Farmers Market, a cultural icon since 1934.

Today’s highlight is participating in the studio audience of a live production of Jeopardy! with Alex Trebeck.

Jeopardy! has been granted trademark status as “America’s Favorite Quiz Show” by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. It is the #2 series in syndication and averages 9 million daily viewers. Since its 1984 syndication debut, Jeopardy! has been honored with 28 Daytime Emmy Awards, more than any other syndicated game show. Eleven Emmys have been awarded for Outstanding Game Show/Audience Participation. Alex Trebek has won five Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Game Show Host.

Check in to the Best Western Plus Carriage Inn in Sherman Oaks. This hotel features a cocktail lounge, exercise facility, hot tub and outdoor heated swimming pool. Guests also enjoy a complimentary morning newspaper and high-speed Internet access. There is a Denny’s® restaurant on premises, serving American dishes 24 hours a day.

Day 2 – After your complimentary Denny’s breakfast depart for Sony Studios. We make a stop at Trader Joe’s so you may purchase snacks and/or sandwiches for lunch and the drive home.

Spend the early afternoon with Pat Sajak and Vanna White, in the audience of a Wheel of Fortune taping.

Since its debut in 1983, Wheel of Fortune has awarded more than $190 million in cash and prizes to its contestants. Wheel of Fortune has been the #1 show in syndication since its debut in 1983. The Wheel is framed with steel tube on which tiers of Plexiglas are placed supported by stainless steel rods. Over 200 specialized, computerized lighting instruments capable of up to 2 million different color choices are interwoven into the framework. It is topped by the Wheel which spins on a stainless steel shaft supported by roller bearings. Seventy-three stainless steel pins fly past three hard rubber “flippers” giving it an unmistakable sound. In all it weighs in at a little over 2,400 lbs. And because there is only one Wheel, it is dismantled and reassembled whenever the show travels to another city.

En route home, enjoy a no-host dinner stop at Sizzler in Banning. Anticipated return to Yuma is late evening.
